Euphoric Tendencies
Beth Moss: 20s-mid 30-ish. Attractive but frustrated writer
who works at a bookstore. This character journeys from mildly
naive or innocent, to a strong, independent and free-spirited
risk-taking woman. The actor playing this role needs to be
comfortable with spanking, bi-sexuality and partial nudity.
Kat: 20-30-something. Tattooed, pierced artist, who supports
her art with a coffee shop job. Beth’s close friend.
Alex: 30s. British. Publisher and owner of Sheridan Press.
Jake's best friend (and a sometime lover of Mina's) is witty,
very charming, and sophisticated.
Rachel: 20s-30s. A frustrated character actress who works
in the bookstore and is Beth’s friend – comedic
role.
Erika:
20s. Editor at Sheridan Press, fan of Beth’s book, lesbian
or bi-sexual
Pamela Norwood: 30s. Alex’s assistant. Intelligent,
organized and sophisticated.
Aurora: 40-50’s. Lesbian bookstore owner, mother earth/goddess/hippie
type.
Sam: 40-50’s. Aurora’s partner, the more practical
quiet of the two bookstore owners.
Angie: Beth’s first roommate, self absorbed, loud, flaky.
** Mina: 30s. Vivacious bi-sexual extrovert, writes,
travels becomes Beth’s roommate/best friend and lover.

Jake Rubin: 40s photographer/artist, successful, confident.
Mina’s longterm on again/off again boyfriend.
** Kevin Murphy: Nice looking
30s. computer consultant, Beth’s boyfriend.
Some
roles may double. Auditions are by appointment only.
Euphoric Tendencies, while a romantic comedy, deals
with adult themes. Auditioning actors must be comfortable
with reading roles that deal with sexuality and BDSM. Some
roles may require partial nudity.
